Water Mill

The roof of this watermill blew off on the day my client took possession.

As the listed  building officer (working for an authority since disbanded) was practising what we now call maladministration it took years to get all of the permissions in place and for the machinery room to become a living area, but it makes a great family house.

This building marks my introduction to fighting with planning authorities, but after 25 years and still helping the same clients with minor changes it remains my favourite of all of the work I’ve done.
