This two bedroom house completed in 2016 is built in the garden of an end of terrace in Sandy Park.
A footpath running diagonally across the street left an awkward triangular site but we found space on the ground floor for an open plan living dining kitchen and a ground floor w.c.. There’s even a tiny rear courtyard. Upstairs there is a shower room and two double bedrooms, one of which has steps up to a sleeping platform.
As part of a Victorian terrace we had to have a brick outer skin on all sides. The difficult shape precluded SIPS panel construction so it’s concrete block on the inside and has a cut roof.
A more rectangular site would have allowed SIPS panel construction and more house for the £100K that this has been built for.
